Department of Industrial and Civil Buildings and Structures

In the 1950s – 1970s, the projects of the former Lengiprotrans Plant Department were related to the post-war restoration of the industry, the development of production capacities of transport facilities, the transfer of railways from steam traction to diesel locomotive, the development of construction industry facilities and the design of specialized enterprises. During this period, a project was developed for an electric locomotive depot in Kandalaksha.

Novopolotsk is a station of the Belarusian railway in the city of the same name on the left bank of the Western Dvina.

In the 1970s, according to the Lengiprotrans project, a washing and steaming station was built at the station for cleaning tanks. It prepares cars for the transportation of liquefied gases, drains, steams, hydraulic tests of boilers and scheduled preventive maintenance of shut-off and safety valves of tanks.

In the 1970s, Lengiprotrans developed a project for a residential building for the design institutes of the USSR Ministry of Transport Construction in Leningrad. The building was designed for 340 apartments.

In the 1980s, the Architectural and Construction Department (now the Department of Industrial and Civil Buildings and Structures) of Lengiprotrans designed a large number of multi-profile buildings. Among the most interesting works of the department during this period are the road service complexes in the Tula region. Similar structures were designed in the Moscow region.

In the 1980s, the Architectural and Construction Department (now the Department of Industrial and Civil Buildings and Structures) of Lengiprotrans designed a large number of multi-profile buildings. Among the most interesting works of the department during this period are the road service complexes in the Podolsk district of the Moscow region. Similar structures were designed in the Tula region.

In the Soviet period, in order to increase the country's construction capacity, Lengiprotrans took part in the creation of new diversified factories. So, in the 1970s, the Department of Plants of the Institute developed a project for the reconstruction of the Pechora Plant of Reinforced Concrete Products for the manufacture of volumetric blocks of service, technical and residential buildings.

In 1954, the Lengiprotrans Plants Department developed a project for a precast concrete plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur.

Although the department was engaged in work on a plant of this profile for the first time, the project was drawn up using the most modern technological processes and equipment. To ensure this, the best enterprises for the production of reinforced concrete structures of other departments were preliminarily examined, the recommendations of TsNIIS and other research organizations were studied.

Carrying out a complex of engineering surveys requires a large number of equipment and vehicles. In this regard, in 1950-1960, specialists from the Architectural and Construction Department prepared a project for industrial buildings for the needs of the institute. The facilities included workshops, a garage and warehouses.

In the 1980s, the Architectural and Construction Department (now the Department of Industrial and Civil Buildings and Structures) of Lengiprotrans designed a large number of multi-purpose buildings. Among other things, the town of VOKhR (paramilitary guards) was designed at the bridge over the Pärnu River in the Estonian SSR.
