Since its founding, Lentransproekt (since 1951 — Lengiprotrans) has been engaged in the transport development of the Kazakh SSR for the development of areas of fallow virgin lands and deposits on behalf of the Council of Ministers of the USSR.
Before the war, the institute developed a draft of the general scheme of a railway hub in the capital of the republic — Akmolinsk (now Nur-Sultan). In the 1950s, the track development of the station was projected in connection with the laying of second tracks on the Kartaly — Akmolinsk line.
In 1954, a large-scale development of virgin and fallow lands began in the Kazakh SSR and a number of adjacent regions. The Council of Ministers of the USSR adopted a Resolution on the construction of railway lines in the region, the design of most of which was entrusted to Lengiprotrans.
As part of this, the institute has developed a project for the railway Kostanay (now Kostanay) - Uritskoye - Peski - Volodarskoye - Kokchetav (now Kokshetau). The road was designed as a narrow-gauge one. The design and survey work had a tight deadline.
In the pre-war period, Lentransproekt (from 1951 — Lengiprotrans) designed the Karaganda-Balkhash railway line in the Kazakh SSR. The road is a continuation of the meridional highway Petropavlovsk — Akmolinsk (now Astana) — Karaganda. The line was necessary to transport ore from the Pribalkhash and Kounrad deposits to the Balakhsh plant and further to the north.
Lengiprotrans has done a lot of work on the reconstruction of the carriage facilities and, first of all, car repair depots (WRD). Among other objects, the WFD was designed at the Ekibastuz II station in the Kazakh SSR. Also, for this territory, a point was developed for the preparation of wagons for loading coal at the Ekibastuz coal basin - the largest coal deposit in Kazakhstan.
The production building, more than 500 m long, is equipped with special car-repair machines, which ensure fast and high-quality car repairs.
Since its inception, Lentransproekt (since 1951 — Lengiprotrans) has been involved in the transport development of the Kazakh SSR. In the 1950s, the Kostanay — Tobol — Dzhetygara railway line was designed. The road was supposed to ensure the transportation of iron ores from the recently discovered Sokolovo-Sarbaisky deposit to the Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant. When developing the line on the Kostanay — Tobol section, a railway bridge over the Ayat River in the Kostanay region of Kazakhstan was designed.
From the beginning of its activity Lengiprotrans took an active part in the transport development of the Kazakh SSR. In the 1950s - 1960s, the institute created a project for a new railway line Karaganda - Karagayly in the central part of the republic. The road was intended to transport equipment and workers to agricultural areas and to the Karagailinskoye field.
When choosing the position of the track for the field survey at the facility, the aerial photography method was used. The line was built and commissioned in 1965.
In the 1960s, Lengiprotrans developed a project for the Balkhash - Sayak railway line in the Kazakh SSR. Transport links were required to supply Sayak ore to the Balkhash mining and metallurgical plant (now Balkhashtsvetmet). In the following years, a suspension and a colored chain seal were installed on the railway.
