Railway Survey and Design Department

In 1951-1955, Lengiprotrans developed a project for a new railway line Ekibastuz - Irtyshskoe. The line was to become the southern part of the Omsk - Bessarabka (Irtyshskoe) - Ekibastuz highway. However, the survey and design along this line ended with the design assignment stage.

In 2013, Lengiprotrans provided engineering and consulting services for adjusting the feasibility study (FS) for the construction of a high-speed railway line (HSR) Astana - Almaty in Kazakhstan.

The feasibility study institute's adjustment mainly consisted of working out technical solutions for a maximum speed of 250 km / h. The specified parameters are more precisely defined: travel time - 5.5 hours, the number of trains - 6 pairs of trains per day, a single-track railway station with double-track inserts.

The project of organizing the passenger railway communication St. Petersburg-Vitebsky - Pulkovo Airport was developed by Lengiprotrans in the 2010s.

The Aeroexpress route will run from Pulkovo airport to Vitebsk railway station with a mandatory stop at Kupchino station, which will help to include the blue metro line in the route. The travel time of the electric trains will be 25 minutes.

The non-public railway line Bovanenkovo - Sabetta will be the final link in the exit of the Northern latitudinal railway (Obskaya-2 - Salekhard - Nadym - Pangody - Novy Urengoy - Korotchaevo) to the Northern Sea Route, which will provide a connection between the general railway network and the shortest sea route between the European part Russia and the Far East.

In addition, the railway line is necessary for the delivery of goods and crews to the port of Sabetta, to the gas condensate fields of the Yamal Peninsula and for the export of liquid hydrocarbons.

Sabetta is a seaport on the eastern coast of the Yamal Peninsula. It is designed to transport liquefied natural gas and provide year-round navigation along the Northern Sea Route.

The project of railway approaches to the port of Sabetta included the following works.

As part of design and survey work:
• performance of field engineering and geodetic, hydrometeorological and environmental surveys (with completion of work in 2016), engineering and geological surveys (with completion of work on artificial structures in the winter season 2016–2017);

The railway line Mga - Gatchina - Ivangorod - Kotly - Kalische is a section of the Oktyabrskaya railway passing through the territory of the Leningrad region. The road provides transport and economic links between the regions of the North-West and the Center of Russia with Estonia, and also serves the national economic transportation of the region of gravity.

The project for the comprehensive reconstruction of the Mga - Kalische route was developed by Lengiprotrans in the 1990s – 2000s.

The elevated express is a new type of passenger transport that provides rhythmic and uninterrupted movement within the urban transport network. It was supposed to solve transport problems in the southern part of the city, connecting the Krasnoselsky, Kirovsky, Moskovsky, Frunzensky, Nevsky administrative districts.

Balezino is a junction railway station on the Kirov - Perm line of the Gorkovskaya railway. It is a docking station between alternating and direct current.

In the Eastern park of Balezino station, Lengiprotransom designed the construction of two and lengthening of one track to ensure the formation and passage of transit trains of increased length (100 conventional wagons).

The Esil - Lomonosovskaya - Uritskoye railway line is a narrow-gauge railway that played a significant role in the first period of the development of the virgin lands of Kazakhstan.

The project of the railway line was transferred to Lengiprotrans from Zheldorproekt in connection with the merger in 1955.

In 1954, preliminary and final surveys were carried out on the priority section Esil - Lomonosovskaya with a length of 95 km. The design assignment was completed on February 18, 1955 and approved by the Ministry of Railways on April 25, 1955.

The Atasu - Karazhal railway line was designed by Lentransproekt (since 1951 - Lengiprotrans) in the late 1940s. The road was supposed to provide access to an iron ore deposit in Kazakhstan.

Research, design and construction of the line were carried out on a tight schedule. In 1947, survey work began, and in April 1949 the technical design was completed.
