Mogocha is a station in the Chita region of the Trans-Baikal Territory. It is located on the Trans-Baikal Railway, which is part of the Trans-Siberian Railway.
The object is located in the foothills of the Amazar ridge. The predominant type of landscape is mountain taiga. In the design area, the railway is crossed by the Middle and Upper Olongro rivers.
Prior to the implementation of the project, operations were carried out at Mogocha station to change locomotive crews near passenger trains, while their equipment was carried out at the Amazar station, located about 100 km away. In order to increase the route speed of passenger trains, work was carried out to combine these operations at one Mogocha station.
The design documentation provides for the following types of work:
• construction of equipment for filling passenger trains with water and coal;
• laying control ramps in an even neck of an odd fleet to perform parallel movements;
• reconstruction of the necks of the even-numbered fleet to ensure the possibility of non-stop passage of odd-numbered freight trains during the parking of passenger trains;
• reconstruction of the tracks of the even-numbered station park in connection with the construction of a low passenger platform;
• inclusion of tracks and switches in existing electrical interlocking devices.
In February 2016, a positive expert opinion was received.
