Interstate station Pechory-Pskovskie belongs to the Oktyabrskaya railway (OZhD), located in the Pskov region on the border with Estonia.

In 1993, on behalf of the Ministry of Railways of the Russian Federation, Lengiprotrans developed a project for the reconstruction of a number of border stations, the first of which was Pechory-Pskovskie. This was necessary for the reconstruction of new border crossings that arose as a result of the collapse of the USSR.

Work on the reconstruction of the station provided for:

  • laying of additional tracks and turnouts;
  • construction of an administrative building;
  • fencing of the inspection area, the customs warehouse area and the area for uncoupling repair of wagons;
  • improvement of the station territory;
  • construction of a maintenance point, compressor room, and boiler room;
  • construction of an automatic system for commercial inspection of trains and wagons (ASKOPV).

In 2001 the station was put into operation. In terms of its equipment, it became indicative of the Russian railway network and was taken as the basis for a comprehensive program for the development of border stations.

By 2003, the average daily delivery of export trains at this station had doubled compared to 1992, and amounted to 10 trains.
