The Kaliningrad River Port is located on the Pregolya River and consists of 3 cargo areas:
• Pregol region, serving for cargo transshipment;
• Svetlovsky district, consisting of cargo and passenger berths;
• gravel sorting plant.
In the 1990s, Lengiprotrans developed a feasibility study for railway approaches to the Pregol port cargo area. The track section was designed.
