Large oil port on the Baltic Sea
Klaipeda Port is the northernmost ice-free port on the Eastern coast of the Baltic Sea in Lithuania. In the 1980s, Lengiprotrans developed a ferry crossing in the port, which significantly accelerates the loading and unloading of ferries with direct rolling and rolling of cars on two tiers of bridges with parallel operation of two locomotives. This provided a 2-2.5-fold reduction in the ferry processing time.
Within the framework of the title, a project was also prepared for a pre-port station for a ferry crossing in the port of Klaipeda. The track development and service buildings were designed at the station.
