For many years, Lengiprotrans has been designing the Virgin Railway, which runs through the territory of Northern and Central Kazakhstan. This was due to the development of virgin fallow lands since the mid-1950s.

The project of bypassing the station Tselinograd (now Astana) with the strengthening of sorting facilities was developed by the Department of nodes and stations of the Institute in 1976-1981.
