Development of railway communication in the Ekibastuz coal basin
The fuel and energy complex is located here, including the large thermal power plant Ekibastuzskaya GRES.
In the 1970s – 1980s, Lengiprotrans developed a project for an access railway to the temporary buildings and structures of the Ekibastuz SDPP with the reconstruction of the Ekibastuz I station. This was due to the commissioning of the Ekibastuz fuel and energy complex. On the site were designed: track section, electrification, automatic blocking, dispatch centralization and communication lines.
