The Pavlovsk - Novolisino railway line is a suburban section of the Leningrad railway junction and is part of the Oktyabrskaya railway.
Lengiprotrans developed a project for the electrification of the site within the framework of the 1956 decree “On the general plan for the electrification of railways”. At the same time, work was underway to build high passenger platforms with checkout pavilions at the stations.
When designing electric traction devices, it was envisaged:
• maximum use of reinforced concrete overhead supports;
• widespread use of rigid cross-members instead of expensive flexible ones with significant metal consumption;
• sequential circuits for switching on mercury rectifiers, which significantly increased their power and reliability;
• two-link filters, which make it possible to significantly reduce the cost of outreach of communication lines.
