Labytnangi is the terminal station of the Northern Railway, located in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District of the Tyumen Region. The transshipment of goods to water transport is carried out here.
The Labytnangi - Bovanenkovo railway line was designed by Lengiprotrans by order of the USSR Ministry of Gas Industry in 1986-1990. The main line was intended for the development of the oil and gas industry in Western Siberia.
In Labytnangi, the institute developed a master plan for the construction area of a residential settlement, and designed residential buildings and social institutions. One of the most interesting projects was the cultural and sports complex.
During this period, Lengiprotrans in Labytnangi also designed: two 64-apartment residential buildings, two kindergartens with 140 beds for the Yamaltransstroy trust, a hotel for 70 beds, a hospital for 200 beds and other facilities.
