Pskov is the station of the Vitebsk direction of the October railway. In the 1970s, Lengiprotrans developed a project for the reconstruction of a car repair depot at the station.
The following were designed and installed at the facility:
• conveyors in the wagon assembly shop for moving wagons from position to position and for rolling out bogies;
• a movable arched overpass with lifting platforms at the position of roofing and bodywork, equipped with sockets for connecting power tools and welding equipment, as well as racks for storing lumber and roofing steel sheets;
• mobile gantry machines for painting and drying of cool cars, equipped with airless spraying units URBH-1M;
• automated production lines for the repair of bogie frames, wheelsets, axle boxes with sleeve bearings;
• a universal stand for automatic coupler repair with a manipulator for moving the automatic coupler body to repair positions;
• workshop for washing and preliminary disassembly of wagons, equipped with a gantry-type washing installation and a machine for internal washing of covered wagons.
