JSC Lengiprotrans (part of the 1520 Group of Companies) received FAI Glavgosexpertiza positive conclusion for the reconstruction project of the Savelovo station of the Oktyabrskaya railway.
Savelovo is the most important station on the Sonkovsky route, located at the junction with the Moscow railway, where the type of traction is changed for all trains. Responsible for the project is Anna Fedorovna Stogova, Chief Engineer of the Unit and Station Department of Lengiprotrans. The reconstruction includes the relocation of the railway crossing to ensure the possibility of lengthening the existing tracks, the construction of additional tracks, the introduction of modern electrical centralization of switches and signals instead of manual control, the construction of a rest house for the locomotive brigades of the October and Moscow railways. It is noteworthy that after the completion of the station reorganization, the road border will be shifted towards the Moscow railway.
Reconstruction of the Savelovo station, along with other measures projected by Lengiprotrans , will allow the passage of additional train traffic on the Dmitrov — Sonkovo — Mga — St. Petersburg direction to the ports of the North-West.
