On May 8, Lengiprotrans JSC (part of the 1520 Group of Companies) hosted events dedicated to the 74th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War.
Early in the morning near the entrance to the building of the Design and Survey Institute at Moskovsky Prospekt, d. 143 a brass band played. It sang famous songs, including songs dedicated to the war. The performance of the musicians created a general pre-holiday mood.
At noon, employees gathered at the Wall of Memory in the Lengiprotrans building. After laying flowers and a minute of silence, General Director Dmitry Viktorovich Golubovsky made a welcoming speech. He noted the huge and significant contribution of employees to the overall Victory of the whole country.
After him with a small report on the topic “Year before the Victory. The events of the war of 1944 - 75 years” was made by a resident of besieged Leningrad, an honorary worker of the institute, head of the museum Alexander Yakovlevich Mazo. He spoke about the largest military operations of 1944 and about the participation of the Allies in hostilities. Following him, Dmitry Anatolyevich Belov, an employee of Lengiprotrans, an engineer of the department of industrial and civil buildings and structures, read a poem about the war.
Summing up the results of the event, Dmitry Viktorovich Golubovsky expressed gratitude to Alexander Yakovlevich Mazo for his careful attitude to the memory of historical events.
