PJSC "Lengiprotrans" carried out pre-project work on the development of railway approaches to the MMKK "Bronka" in early 2016. In the report, Andrei Nikolayevich told about the measures to increase the cargo turnover of the port, which are planned to be implemented in 5 stages. When developing the project documentation, first of all options were considered taking into account the existing railway infrastructure and available reserves.

To date, the project documentation has been approved by the customer and is aimed at coordinating the October Railway.

The Bronka Port (Bronka multifunctional marine reloading complex, Bronka MMPK) is located on the coast of the Gulf of Finland to the south of Kronstadt in the zone of the protective dam.

The port is of strategic importance for the development of the transport and port infrastructure of Russia in general and of St. Petersburg in particular.

Currently, the carrying capacity of MMPK "Bronka" is 500 thousand. TEU (6.0 million tons) of containerized cargo and 130 thousand tons. units of rolling loads per year with the prospect of increasing the processing capacity in 2017. up to 1.9 million TEU (23 million tons) and 260 thousand tons. units of rolling loads per year, respectively.

Based on expert data, the perspective container traffic to the Bronka port by rail will grow in stages and by 2030 will reach 18.0 million TEU per year.

RILTRTRANS-2017 Conference is held at St. Petersburg State University of Communications of Emperor Alexander I.
