The Petrashunai - Gubernia railway line is a section of the Siauliai - Birzai line of the Lithuanian railway. The road was built as a single-track, narrow-gauge, 750 mm gauge.
In the period 1981-1985, Lengiprotrans developed a project for rebuilding the Petrashunai-Gubernia railway line to a wide track of 1520 mm in order to create a convenient transport connection between the republics and increase the throughput.
