Lobby of the Ladozhskaya metro station

Вестибюль станции метрополитена «Ладожская»

Station "Ladozhskaya" is located on the Right Bank line of the Petersburg metro. It is a single-vaulted deep station (depth about 61 m).

In the 1980s, during the period of intensive development of the metro, Lengiprotrans completed the design of the ground pavilion and the architectural design of the underground hall of the Ladozhskaya station. The lobby of the metro station is part of the Ladozhsky station complex, which was opened in 2003 for the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg. The metro pavilion project arose from the idea of creating convenient interchange stations for passengers between the metro and railway platforms.

The theme of the station is dedicated to the legendary "Road of Life", along which food was delivered to besieged Leningrad. This is due to the fact that the suburban direction of the Ladozhsky railway station includes railway stations associated with the Road of Life.

The Ladozhskaya metro station was opened in 1985. In 1990, the authors of the project became a laureate of the State Prize of the Council of Ministers of the USSR.
