On May 8, Lengiprotrans PJSC (part of the 1520 group of companies) hosted an event dedicated to the 73rd anniversary of the Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War.
In the morning, in front of the Lengiprotrans building on Moskovsky Prospekt, according to tradition for veterans and all townspeople, the brass band sang songs of the war years, dancing couples circled. Everyone could take the St. George ribbon as a souvenir.
After the concert, Alexander Yakovlevich Mazo, the director of the Museum of PJSC Lengiprotrans, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, a resident of besieged Leningrad, made a solemn speech to the guests - invited veterans of the Moscow region and employees of the institute. He read poems by Yulia Drunina and Konstantin Simonov at the Wall of Memory.
After a minute of silence and laying flowers at the Wall of Memory, Evgeny Viktorovich Pankevich, Deputy Head of the Moscow District Administration, addressed the audience with a festive speech. He emphasized in his speech the importance of interaction of veterans with the next generations. Thanks to this, it is possible to preserve and pass on historical memory to descendants, which will help them to treat the world with care.
General Director of PJSC Lengiprotrans Dmitry Viktorovich Golubovsky spoke about the significant role of residents of the Moskovsky district and engineers of the institute in wartime, about those employees of Lengiprotrans who went to the front during the war years, about those who participated in the design of vital for Leningrad objects - Roads of Life and Roads of Victory, were engaged in the reconstruction of the country in the post-war period. Dmitry Viktorovich cordially congratulated the veterans on the approaching Victory Day, wished them well, peace, prosperity, good health and happiness.
The meeting continued at the Lengiprotrans museum, where Alexander Yakovlevich gave an author's lecture with a demonstration of photographs and video materials. Also, listeners were able to get acquainted with little-known songs of the war years. After the lecture, each participant of the meeting received a brochure with memories of Alexander Yakovlevich about his military childhood.
