The main design decisions for the construction project of the III and IV main tracks on the St. Petersburg-Baltiysky - Bronevaya section were approved

At the beginning of August, Deputy General Director of JSC Russian Railways A.S. Makarov approved the main design decisions for the project “Construction of the III and IV main tracks on the section of St. Petersburg-Baltiysky - Bronevaya Oktyabrskaya railway. d." The project was carried out by Lengiprotrans JSC (part of the 1520 Group of Companies) and is being implemented to organize suburban and intracity transportation in the St. Petersburg railway hub, taking into account future train flows, including the organization of passenger traffic with Pulkovo Airport.

The project includes a global reconstruction of the St. Petersburg-Baltiysky and Bronevaya stations with the construction of the III and IV main tracks between them.

The main design solutions were developed taking into account the possibility of building in the future, according to an independent project, an overpass interchange between the Baltic and Warsaw directions with the Tsvetochnaya station of the Northern half-ring of the St. Petersburg railway junction for the subsequent organization of “city train” routes.

In parallel, the Lengiprotrans station complexes sector is developing architectural and planning solutions at the Bronevaya and St. Petersburg-Baltiysky stations.

The architectural and urban design of the passenger complex at Bronevaya station, including passenger pavilions, a concourse and a transit overpass, was prepared and approved by the Passenger Transportation Department of JSC Russian Railways.

It is planned to build new and reconstruct existing passenger platforms of both stations with the installation of canopies, including over the distribution area of the Baltic Station. The appearance of the canopies is laconic and delicately inscribed within the boundaries of the cultural heritage site - the Baltic Station.

The design of the passenger block is led by the chief project architect of the department of industrial and civil buildings and structures, Ksenia Aleksandrovna Balykina.

The design of the facility is headed by the chief project engineer of the Department of Research and Design of Railways, Ivan Nikolaevich Sokolov.
