Liepaja railway junction is a large junction in Latvia, through which cargo is transshipped from Liepaja seaport to the railway.

In June 1993, the management of the Latvian Railway (LZD) sent an invitation to Lengiprotrans to take part in an international competition for the design of railway facilities in Latvia. Institute projects were approved by the Latvian Railway and the Ventspils City Council. In the same period, a plan for the development of the Liepaja railway junction was developed with an estimated cargo turnover of 16.4 million tons.
