As part of the project to increase the capacity of the Mga — Sonkovo — Dmitrov railway line, JSC Lengiprotrans (part of the 1520 Group of Companies) has developed documentation for the reconstruction of three bridges. In March 2022, the design and estimate documentation for the facilities passed the state expertise, which resulted in positive conclusions. The design management was carried out by the chief project engineer of the bridge department Ekaterina Ilyinichna Yazlovitskaya.
The first reconstructed bridge is located at 159 km of the single-track section Bely Gorodok — Kalyazin Post of the Oktyabrskaya Railway. The design documentation provides for the construction of a new bridge under the promising II main track and the reconstruction of the old bridge under the existing I main track and approaches to it. The length of each bridge will be 23 m. The work will be carried out while maintaining the regular movement of trains due to the temporary switching of flows to the new bridge upon completion of its construction.
At two other design sections, Savelovo — Bely Gorodok and Sandovo — Dynino of the Oktyabrskaya railway, is planned to replace the existing concrete bridges with culverts, as well as reconstruct the track part associated with the reconstruction of artificial structures.
At the same time, the design of the railway infrastructure within the boundaries of the work was carried out taking into account the reconstruction of the existing track and the construction of the second main track at subsequent stages of the development of the Mga — Sonkovo — Dmitrov line. Full implementation of the project to increase the capacity of the line will optimize train flow to the North-West ports from the central regions of Russia.
