On March 28, 2022, Lengiprotrans JSC (part of the 1520 Group of Companies) received a positive opinion from the FAI Glavgosexpertiza on the project for the reconstruction of the bridge across the Levochka River on the Kabozha — Bugry section of the Oktyabrskaya railway, implemented as part of the second stage of measures to increase capacity of the Mga — Sonkovo — Dmitrov section.
The existing bridge, built in 1930, is located at 270 km of the Kabozh — Bugry section, where the railway crosses the Levochka River. The reconstruction of the object is carried out in connection with the exhaustion of its resource by the bridge structures.
To ensure the continuous movement of trains on the railway section, the design documentation provides for two stages. The first stage includes the construction of a new bridge at a technological distance from the existing one with the device of derailments to the existing main track and temporary switching of trains to it. At the second stage, the dismantling of old structures, the construction of a new bridge crossing and the reconstruction of railway approaches to it are carried out.
Design management was carried out by Ekaterina Ilyinichna Yazlovitskaya, Chief Project Engineer of the Bridge Department.
