The project "Construction of a receiving and dispatch yard at Borovichi station of the October Railway" is being implemented in accordance with the instruction of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin dated May 07, 2017. No. Pr-912.
Borovichi station is located on the Uglovka — Borovichi railway line of the October railway and is a dead-end station, and by the nature of its work it is a freight station. The tracks of the station are adjacent to the tracks of non-public use of a number of enterprises, including JSC Borovichi Refractories Plant (JSC BKO) — the town-forming enterprise of the city of Borovichi and one of the largest and oldest enterprises in the Novgorod region.
The documentation provides for the construction of a receiving and dispatch park of 3 tracks with a length of 850 m, equipping switches and signals with electrical interlocking devices with the replacement of their manual control, equipping the station with modern communication facilities. Reconstruction of Borovichi station will make it possible to master the size of train traffic, taking into account the prospective increase in cargo turnover on the way of non-public use of JSC BKO.
The design was supervised by Dmitry Igorevich Lobanov, Chief Project Engineer of the Railway Survey and Design Department. The customer is the Directorate for the Construction of Communication Networks of Russian Railways, the project manager is the October Railway of Russian Railways.
