In early January, JSC Lengiprotrans (part of the 1520 Group of Companies) received a positive conclusion from the FAI Glavgosexpertiza of Russia for the project “Extension of existing and construction of additional receiving and departure tracks at the Vysotsk station of the Oktyabrskaya Railway (OZhD)” 1 stage. On January 10, Glavgosexpertiza issued a positive conclusion on the design documentation, and on January 15 — on the estimate documentation.
As part of the project, it is planned to increase the number of receiving and departure tracks from 5 to 7 with a length of 1050 m, build an additional exhaust track for rearrangement of the whole train, equip the station with electrical interlocking of switches and signals (CBI) with the construction of an CBI post and introduce automatic blocking on stretch Vysotsk — Pikhtovoe. In the conditions of a territory limited for development, the specialists of the department of nodes and stations proposed an outlet switch neck made of symmetrical switches of the 1/6 brand. The measures envisaged in the project, approved by the Oktyabrskaya Railway, will increase the freight turnover of Port Vysotsky LLC, the project customer, up to 10 million tons per year and increase the throughput capacity of the Pikhtovoe — Vysotsk section.
Financing of construction and installation works will be provided by JSC Russian Railways with a share participation of Port Vysotsky LLC.
