April 02, 2021 JSC Lengiprotrans (part of the 1520 Group of Companies) received a positive opinion from the FAI Glavgosexpertiza of Russia for the facility "Luzhskaya-Sortirovochnaya Station. Construction of the arrival park and connecting tracks. Stage 7 — construction of a road entrance to the station with an overpass through main tracks" as a part of the investment project "Comprehensive reconstruction of the Mga — Gatchina — Weimarn — Ivangorod section and railway approaches to the ports on the southern coast of the Gulf of Finland ".
The design solutions provide for the construction of a road entrance to the Luzhskaya-Sortirovochnaya station with a checkpoint, an overpass with length of 134.7 m over main tracks and the closure of a 13 km railway crossing. The road will be used for the passage of official vehicles to the station territory, eliminating their delays at the railway crossing with heavy train traffic.
The project was managed by Olga Vladimirovna Belova, Head of the Artificial Structures Group of the Bridges Department. The technical customer and developer is Russian Railways.
