Gratitude from LLC "Universal Trade Terminal" Ust-Luga "

The staff of PJSC Lengiprotrans received a letter of gratitude from the General Director of LLC Ust-Luga Universal Trade Terminal Alexey Vladimirovich Zharkov. He notes the prompt and high-quality work of the Institute's employees in the development of pre-design solutions within the framework of the construction of the Ust-Luga Universal Trade Terminal.

Lengiprotrans has been participating in the development of the Ust-Luga railway junction since 1992. Since 2005, it has been the largest investment project in the Leningrad Region. It is included in the Federal Target Program "Development of the Russian Transport System (2010 - 2020)".

Pre-design studies for the construction of railway infrastructure for public and non-public use of the General Station Luzhskaya of the Oktyabrskaya Railway for servicing the Ust-Luga Universal Trade Terminal were developed in March - May 2018. These studies were initiated by the Novotrans Group of Companies, the main activities of which are operating, forwarding, rolling stock repair, freight car rental, and warehouse services. Currently, Novotrans is one of the largest operators of railway rolling stock in Russia and the CIS.

On the non-public route, it is planned to organize the transshipment of goods from railway transport to sea transport and in the opposite direction. In the "Universal Trade Terminal" Ust-Luga" operations for transshipment of cargo from rail to sea (grain cargo, ore materials, coal, coke, others) and in the opposite direction (ore materials, other cargo) will be carried out. Transportation of goods will be carried out in grain wagons, open-top wagons, flatcars, covered wagons. For this purpose, it is planned to build transshipment complexes - both specialized and universal - on the territory of the Ust-Luga sea trade port. The total cargo turnover of the enterprise for full development will amount to 24.26 million tons per year, of which: 22.92 million tons - export; 1.34 million tons - imports.

As part of the pre-design studies, the specialists of the institute analyzed the existing situation of the Ust-Luga railway junction, determined the car turnover and the size of the movement of trains arriving at the address of non-public tracks adjacent to the General Station Luzhskaya park, and carried out simulation modeling of the transport system operation according to the options. The main technical solutions for the construction of railway infrastructure and a complex of industrial buildings were developed, and the approximate cost of construction was determined.
