On Thursday, February 1st, a live broadcast of the Open Studio program took place on the TV channel 78.
The issue entitled "Toponymic Lawlessness" discussed the historical and modern names of St. Petersburg streets, raised the question of the uniqueness of city toponyms and the need to rename a number of objects in the Northern capital.
The experts were:
1. Sergey Olegovich Ivanov, Deputy Chief Engineer - Head of the Nodes and Stations Department of PJSC Lengiprotrans (part of the 1520 Group of Companies), expert in transport toponymy.
2. Alexey Konstantinovich Lepork, researcher at the State Hermitage Museum.
3. Boris Mikhailovich Kirikov, historian, art critic, member of the toponymic commission.
