After laying flowers and a minute of silence at the Wall of Memory, he read poems about the children of besieged Leningrad. Then in the museum of PJSC "Lengiprotrans" a lecture "Let's remember the siege years" was held. The director of the museum spoke about the children's dance ensemble of A.E. Obrant, the Leningrad Academic Choreographic School named after A.Ya. Vaganova, the musical education of children during the siege and how the Seventh Symphony of D.D. Shostakovich was sounded for the first time.
All the participants in the meeting were delighted with her. After the lecture, the guests asked A.Ya. Mazo interesting questions regarding the history of the Great Patriotic War, and shared their own memories of colleagues during the war period, noting that in the history of the children of the blockade there are still many gaps that need to be filled by researchers. In this regard, in their opinion, the festive events held by the institute are especially significant.
