On November 22, Moscow hosted the Safe Driving - 2018 conference, dedicated to the current topic of reducing accidents in corporate fleets. Traffic safety engineer Mikhail Dmitrievich Repin took part in the conference from PJSC Lengiprotrans.
It may seem that the topic of the conference is of interest only to the specialists of the Department of Mechanization of Survey, but in fact, traffic safety affects everyone without exception. Each of us is a road user: driver, pedestrian or passenger.
Within the framework of the conference, topical issues that directly affect the activities of the institute were considered. The report "Stress, Fatigue, Monotony and Their Impact on Safe Driving" provided detailed statistics and the consequences of accidents caused by fatigue, overwork and, as a result, sleep while driving. The most serious accidents in professional drivers, in most cases, occur precisely because of uncontrolled sleep. Therefore, drivers must strictly observe the mode of work and rest. "What is more important than profit or safety?" - one of the issues discussed in the report "Can you buy security?" As a result of the discussion, it was concluded that security cannot be bought, it needs to be worked on and it is necessary to strive for it.
Representatives of Sakhalin Energy shared their practice of strict control over compliance with road safety rules.
For example, thanks to seat belts in 2017 alone, at least two lives were saved in this company. According to the traffic rules of the Russian Federation, all passengers, without exception, are obliged to fasten their seat belts, regardless of whether they are sitting in the front seat or in the back, in a passenger car or in a minibus. In accordance with the instructions, the drivers of PJSC Lengiprotrans are prohibited from starting or continuing to move if at least one of the passengers is not wearing a seat belt. Remember, safety is in your hands and in your actions!
We wish you a safe journey and a safe journey!
